The Free University of Bozen-Bolzano is located in one of the most fascinating European regions, at the crossroads between the German-speaking and Italian economies and cultures. Its trilingualism in teaching and research, its high level of internationalisation as well as an ideal study environment guaranteed by its excellent facilities are some of the reasons why unibz regularly reaches top positions in national and international rankings.

The conference takes place at the new building of the Faculty of Engineering which is located at the innovation district of Bolzano – the so called NOI Techpark in the industrial area of Bolzano. We combine competences in the fields of automation, artificial intelligence, computer science, electronics, energy, mechanical, manufacturing, and sustainability engineering. The striking structure features a transparent concrete-and-glass base and an aluminium-clad upper volume, reflecting the region’s industrial heritage. With 20,000 m² of space, the building integrates advanced climate-control technologies, operable façades, and over 600 m² of vertical greenery to enhance energy efficiency and comfort. Opened in September 2024, it hosts modern lecture halls, high-tech labs, and flexible event spaces tailored for interdisciplinary exchange. Situated within the NOI Techpark, the building fosters direct collaboration between academia, startups, and industry, making it an ideal setting for innovation.

The opening of the conference and keynote speeches will take place in the Aula Magna of the Faculty, which has a capacity of 180 modern seats. The wood-paneled hall is equipped with innovative technology and provides an inspiring atmosphere for presentations and discussions. The Aula is part of the new Faculty building at NOI Techpark, which—with its sustainable architecture and modern infrastructure—offers ideal conditions for academic events. The technical sessions take place on the upper floors, offering an ideal environment for work and networking thanks to green terraces and quiet retreat areas.
